For the last few months I have been working in conjunction with a very good friend of mine, Claire, on a new project. It is exciting, will almost certainly involve you and frankly, has already given us a huge amount of joy.
What is it?
We’re collecting and preserving stories of hope, kindness, joy, and humanity—those moments that arise from the ordinary but which leave a lasting impact. Whether it’s a brief encounter that made your day, a small act of kindness, or a glimmer of hope where you least expected it, we’d love to hear from you.
I'm not sure what you mean.
It could be something as simple as you forgetting your wallet and someone buying your coffee. Here is a story I shared a little while ago about kindness that may inspire you.
What are you going to do with them?
Initially we are looking to share them as a blog and with small gatherings of people. Once we have collected a few more stories we will look to publish them in some form so they can be shared more widely. Heck, we may even look at doing a podcast - but would need some pointers (Anyone???)
I've got a story but I'm not sure about how to write it down.
If you'd like some ideas as to how to go about writing them do get in touch - we can provide a crib sheet.
If you prefer you can record them (it's remarkably easy on Whatsapp or voice memo app on your phone. Technology eh!) or, if you live local to Bristol or Brighton, we could meet you.
How do I share my story?
You can use the email link here (Nicola) or to Claire here to upload your stories. They can be anonymous if you prefer but we would ask that you agree to us sharing them.
So please do have a think. Stories from far and wide are welcome!
We are surrounded by stories of sadness, war, anger, doom and gloom and we firmly believe that interwoven among them are all your stories that tell us humanity, hope and kindness is alive and kicking!
Thank you,
Nicola and Claire xx
